Hair Goodies

From the left: 1.SoftSheen Carson, Wave Nouveau: Moisturising Finishing lotion 2. Cantu: Shea Butter 3.Sweet Almond Oil

I started my hair journey just after Christmas last year when my cousin pointed out the grave mistakes us black women have made when dealing with our hair, from "hair food" to the creamy crack that we all seem to love so much. Then she gave me a link to Phrophro's which gave me the basics i need to know for me to begin my hair journey.

So a few months in and I have a pretty sizable collection of hair oils and hair products but i hadn't gotten to buying these yet. They have been on my wish list for a while and last week i went out to London and i bought these!

Cantu Shea Butter
This product smells amazing, so much so that sometimes I just open the jar so I can smell it. It is a protein orientated product which when used helps to strengthen the keratin in your strands so that they are not so brittle. Now, I have heard good things about this and I'm really hoping it doesn't disappoint me quality wise but I shall hold my verdict until I use it.

Wave Nouveau Moisturizing Finishing Lotion by SoftSheenCarson

When my cousin and I started our Hair Journey's together she chose this for her moisturizer and she has loved it from day one. I have always wanted to try it and now that i finally have it I can finally form my own opinion of it. This is more moisture based and helps keep your hair from drying if used often.

Sweet Almond Oil
If any girl is to have just one product to help to after hair, it is any oil in my opinion. After trying several other oils I caught wind of another that everyone seemed to have as a favourite and i thought to myself: I have to have it. I am going to add this to my moisturizing spritz as soon as I can to help keep my braids in tip top shape.

I'll be making a post about my spritz in due time but before I do, have any of you tried these before, if so how have you found them?

I had this job before where i had to wash up all the time and it wreaked havoc on my nails but since i quit my job a couple of months ago my nails have been growing a lot more. Since then I've started to enjoy painting them and buying new colours for the coming Autumn. With  that in mind last week i treated myself to a couple of new nails varnishes.
Now normally I go for primary colours that are bold and bright but since spring I've really been into pastels and i picked up some tops that fit the description and now I'm moving to nails and these really fit that.

I'm a great fan of Rimmel nail colour, they have a really good finish and last for absolute ages even though I'm always having to wash up or something. Im happy with the puchase and I'm definitely going to be adding to my collection soon.

Flatforms: hot or not?

I've seen these shoes in a few shops and word by a few celebs and i have to say i can see why they are popular because if you are someone like me who has an ankle problem or you just can't do proper heels then they are the next best thing. The reason being because they offer you all the benefits of the height that heels give you but with all the practicality of wearing a comfortable pair of flat shoes.

Everyone seems to be on these trend as all my online shopping haunts seem to have these shoes in stock and some big name designers are putting their own unique spin on the humble flatform. Despite all these apparent endorsements from the fashions elite i still have to say i think these are amongst the ugliest i have ever seen. There is just nothing aesthetic about them at all and they should be banned forever more.

What's your take on the flatform?
